Sunday, Aug.17 LAT & sNYT

Here are the solutions to yesterday's clues:

A drink for the road | before starting the last delivery (3,2,2)
[ONE TO GO] = [ONE TO GO]
Double definition.

Housing divisions | usually name individuals to settle | initially (5)
[UNITS] = [Usually Name Individuals To Settle] [initials]

Digits' theft | disturbed | miser's manner (11)
[DIGITS THEFT] [anagram] = [TIGHTFISTED]

Solver's | ex, Sandy, saw | something out of sight (2,3,2)
[X'S AND Y'S] = [eX SANDY Saw] [hidden]
"Solvers" is possessive in the surface sentence, but plural to get the direct definition from it.

Miscellaneous | remark made as Alexander the Great dismissively faced the Gordian Dilemma | ? (7)
[WHATNOT] = ["WHAT KNOT?"] [pun]
I have been known to treat riddle clues as &Lit!s, with no separate direct. This time I was nicer and had a straight definition added to the riddle.

  1. LAT1: This is the only one I'm puzzled about. I get the pitcher and Saint Amos link (which actually seems too simple); but what is the curdled milk about?
    LAT2: Cute? Yessss!!!
ST1: Sort of second level, but clear enough. No shame 'n that..
    ST2: Straightforward, Straightbackward
ST3: Nice insertion without reorganization. Nice place, too.

I can guess the three-letter ones, but no idea how you arrived at any of them.
