Today's Cryptic clues include
Solutions to these clues are in the grids below.

LAT

Seattle Times
(NYT 9/9/14)

Here are the solutions to yesterday's clues:

Scandinavian | in | New Orleans, Louisiana | 5 (4)
[OLAV/OLAF] = [hidden] [nOLA] [V/Five]
The gimmick here is that there are two possible ways to spell the answer, OLAV was used in LAT, and OLAF in ST.

The next two both appeared the same in both LAT & ST yesterday.

No | evil | left | from | garnish in a martini (5)
[0] [EVIL] [reversed] [=] [OLIVE]

Rode | out | to | fix things (4)
[RODE] [anagram] [=] [REDO]

Something fashionable | possibly repeated while chucking a baby's chin|? (5)
[GUCCI] = [COOCHIE COOCHIE] [pun]

Son | wasn't quite able (4)
[ABLE] = [anagram/homophone] [ABLE]

Something fashionable | Hervé Villechaize would say on seeing a paddle drift to shore (4)
[DIOR] = [homophone] [DE OAR]
Hervé Villechaize played the pint-size Tattoo on Fantasy Island, with the catchphrase "De plane! De plane!"

Mom | could have been a cryptogram for her | before nightfall (3)
[MOM] [cryptogrammed] = [EVE]
A cryptogram is a letter-substitution puzzle. I've long wanted to use it somehow in a cryptic clue, and finally I've had my chance!

    Either you did not post today or there is a glitch. I see only blank grids.
