ReplyDeleteLAT1: Rail against the truth? (4)
LAT2: Space for Othello’s return? (4)
LAT3: Eleven’s back and loses five (3)

ST3: An afterthought is slithering up to a snake (3).
ST4: Am I the sweetheart of Wisconsin, or is it back to the Archipelago? (7)
ST5: On reflection, I certainly would provide weapons to a talk-show medium (2,5)
NC: Thanks for filling in. I'm a bit better, but no guarantee it will carry over to tomorrow morning. You really like reversals today, don't you?
ReplyDeleteLAT1: Rail against the truth? (4)
Against seems to be part of both the reversal and the direct, but either one would be fine.
LAT2: Space for Othello’s return? (4)
Nice reversal.
LAT3: Eleven’s back and loses five (3)
This time it's the "eleven" that's part of both direct and wordplay. "Eleven's back" is good, and "eleven loses five" would be good, but telescoping them together isn't (at least in American cryptics, and I didn't think British did either).
ST1: Supervised mountain’s return to table-top status? (6)
Charade reversed, good.
ST2: Told it’s a choice of pan-down or bow-down (6).
I see pan-up and bow-down, but not the rest.
ST3: An afterthought is slithering up to a snake (3).
Okay partial reversal.
ST4: Am I the sweetheart of Wisconsin, or is it back to the Archipelago? (7)
This one may be in an archipelago, but it's not a collective name for it. Change it to island or battle, and this one is good to go. The charade is very good!
ST5: On reflection, I certainly would provide weapons to a talk-show medium (2,5)
The order is a little messed up, but the pieces are all there and good.
